Hello!

We are looking for "rower-friendly restaurant" suggestions in your
club's area. A "rower-friendly restaurant" can be a coffee house,
deli, bakery or restaurant that is popular among the rowers at your
club.

If you send us the name, address, telephone and short description of
the rower-friendly restaurant, we will send you a complimentary
2002-2003 Rower's Almanac. (We can only send complimentary books to
addresses in the U.S., however.)

Thank you for your suggestions!

The Rower's Almanac

This cafe is based in Putney, UK, so we won't qualify for the free
almanac - but I am sure we can cope with that! I guess I will have
another latte to comiserate.
The staff are great, their decor is unique, and the menu is nothing if
not imaginitive. Liquified grass in a cup? Healthy I'm sure...
The shop was owned by a company who used to sell Astroturf, and is
carpeted throughout with fake grass. A bit odd, but it is easy to find
the shop!

10/10 for the ideas and I can't extoll their qualities enough.

How about pubs that serve food?

The Odd Spot Cafe
17, Crisp Rd
London
W6 9RL
Britain
+44 020 8741 5001

Description:
Used to be a good, basic, cheap caf, but has recently changed
management. Now it serves superior breakfasts for superior prices and is
a restaurant in the evenings. I can't decide which incarnation I prefer.

Recommendation (I.e. specialty dish):
Ask for the Sculler's Breakfast

Rowing Club that is near the Restaurant:
Auriol Kensington
Furnivall
Sons of the Thames
Amateur Rowing Association.
