The 14th Charlie ***Scullers' Head of the Potomac Regatta, sponsored
by the Potomac Boat Club, will be held October 1, 1994 in Washington,
D.C. Each event, with the exception of the Mixed Eights and Grand
Challenge Octuple (which will be run on a shortened course), will be
raced over a three-mile course.
The scheduled events are as follows:

3. Lightweight Singles (M&W) 9:00
4. Intermediate Singles (M&W) 9:15
5. Masters Singles (M&W) 9:30
6. Senior Masters Singles (M&W) 9:45

8. Youth/Novice Singles (M&W) 10:20
9. Intermediate Doubles (M&W) 10:40
10. Masters Four-with (M&W) 11:00
11. Open Eights (M&W) 11:20

In events 10, 13 and 16 the average age of crews must be at least 35,
as of October 1, with no rowers under the age of 30 (excluding
coxswains). A 5 second per year handicap given for each year over 35
will be used to determine the final order of finish.
In event 7, scullers must be at least 50 years of age, as of October 1.
A 6 second per year handicap given for each year over 50 will be used
to determine the final order of finish.
For an event to be a medal event, a minimum of three entries must be
received, with at least two organizations participating. The Regatta
Committee will consider running non-medal events with fewer than three
entries and/or two organizations. Separate medals for men and women
will be given only in events marked M&W.
Event 8, Youth/Novice Singles is actually two events--Youth Singles and
Novice Singles. Event 18, Club/Youth Eights is also two events--Club
Eights and Youth Eights.
Competitors may race in more than one event.
To guarantee a place in the Regatta, and to avoid a late entry charge,
entries, with full payment on standard USRA forms, including a signed
waiver, must reach Potomac Boat Club no later than September 23, 1994
at 5:00 pm. Please, do not send registered mail. There usually is no
one at PBC to sign for these when the mail is delivered. Entry fees
(US) are as follows:
Entries received after the September 23 deadline will be assessed an
additional $10 per entry.
