There's a regatta this weekend in Augusta, GA.  A friend of mine is
rowing in it and I wanted to go, but I don't have any critical
information such as where it is, schedules, etc.  If someone has access
to this info, I would greatly appreciate it if you could post it or send
it to me.  Thanks in advance!

I would be stunned, shocked, and amazed if anyone posted Master's results
here!  Ron Chen is not there.  USRowing doesn't care about master aged
rowers (except to take their dues money).  Most Master rowers
themselves will not have time or energy to post results
because they will have entered every race possible and will have
rowed to exhaustion in heats and semi-finals.  Actually there is a new
rule this year and one can only enter five races.  This will be
verified by having a card that gets punched during heats.  Five punches and
you are done!

I, however, would be delighted to be proven wrong about posting results.

The regatta this week end in Augusta, Georgia is Master's National
Championships.  Rowing will begin at noon on Thursday and continue until
around 4:30 on Sunday.

Races will be at seven minute intervals on Thursday and Friday,
ten minute intervals for finals on Saturday and Sunday.

The racing will be on Lake Olmstead which is in the middle of town and near
the Savannah River.  Looks from the Road Atlas like Highway 28 would take you
right there.  From what I hear Lake Olmstead is only 1100 meters long.  Should
be interesting!

Sorry, my fingers are exhausted, and I guess I have to give my students a
little bit of my time.  (Law students can be so crotchety when you don't pay
attention to them!)  But I happen to know several people with laptops and
e-mail accounts will be in Augusta, and I will forward your request.
