Concept II erg - bulk purchase?

Concept II erg - bulk purchase?

Post by David Ruggier » Sat, 06 Mar 1993 15:12:00

I've seen two posts already, and I would make it three, asking about
alternative sources for CII erg machines. Something I've heard of clubs
doing is getting together and making a 'bulk' purchase on behalf of a
number of their members. Presumably, this lets them get a very good
price. So:

  - Anyone know how such a program works?
  - What kind of numbers are involved (how many machines to get what
     kind of discount?)
  - Must we be a bona-fide, on-the-water club to participate?
  - Would anyone else would be (possibly) interested in if we were
collectively able to put such a purchase together?

Thanks for any info!

Santa Cruz Rowing Club recently purchased some ergs at reduced prices.
It went something like:
Normal price per erg  ~$750 + shipping
        Purchase 5 or more
price per erg  ~$650 and no shipping charges

     - What kind of numbers are involved (how many machines to get what

(see above)

I doubt it.  I think you just have to buy 5 or more.

     - Would anyone else would be (possibly) interested in if we were

Sorry, got one already.

   Thanks for any info!

Some friends and I from the Santa Cruz Rowing CLub just bought a 'bulk'
purchase of CII's. WE ordered six altogether and the total price including
shipping to California was $685.

This represents somewhere between $60 and $75 discount as far as I remember
and people here believ that that is the best you can get no matter how
many you buy.

It seems CII only have two prices, single quantity and five or more.
