by A pretty good day all round I think. The gales predicted on Saturday
nights weather forecast thankfully didn't transpire although the wind did
get up a bit by the third division. The new timing system worked well
and results were available almost instantaneously - a big bonus, although we
were criticised by the umpires for providing results too quickly - can't
please all of the people all of the time I suppose.
When I asked on Sunday evening if I could have a copy of the results to post
on to the internet I was told " no need - we've already done it" so I was
doubly impressed......However...I've looked through rec.sport.rowing and
on Rachels web pages and I can see no evidence of said results. So my
apologies that they 're not here and tonight I will try and chase up the
guys from Mikrotime and see what the story is. I won't bother to list
the few results I can remember since I am sure I would be accused of
gross bias i.e. I can only remember the events Reading won (including
both of mine...) 8^)
