Mariano Rivera is now "known"

It seems to me that the Sandman is just not as overpowering this year as in
previous years with the Yanks.  He isn't a sure bet anymore.  He's given up
countless saves this year, and more walks and homers too.  Is it because the
hitters are getting better, or is it because he is so well known to all hitters
now?

What are you talking about?  He's on pace to set a career best for
*fewest* walks allowed.  His year doesn't look out of line with the
last four.

he's blown 5 saves this season. he still leads the AL in saves this
year, and he has a 0.91 ERA in the post-season. He's still the best
closer in the majors. He's not the "sure bet" that he was. He's still
"the man" though.
