Well, that's 3 in a row now for Ammaker in the Carrier Dome, after Seton
Hall went winless in the dome prior to his arrival.  It seems like there
is always one obscure team that seems to have SU's number in the dome for
a stretch of years.  Notre Dame owned the dome for a number of years, and
now it looks like it's Ammaker's turn, at least for awhile.

As for tonight's game, it turned out to be a pretty decent finish.  This
was the first time I've seen The Hall on tv this year, and they sure can
shoot the 3.  There is no excuses for this loss, Seton Hall was just the
better team tonight.  The only complaint I have is directed at Boeheim:
why of all people was Ryan "can't-even-make-a-breakaway-layup" Blackwell
taking the final shot?  Next time in a situation like that the ball needs
to be in Hart's hands, either shooting or penetrating and kicking out for
the final shot.  Oh well, second guessing is moot at this point.

Finally, I'm actually going to give kudos to ESPN for showing the last 4
minutes of the game.  Living in Buffalo (aka "the college basketball
wasteland of upstate new york") it sure was frustrating listening to most
of the game on the friggin radio, but it was nice to be able to see the
exciting finish on tv, even though 'cuse lost.  They were bound to lose
sometime, and a lot of people thought it would come against Louisville.
It would have been much better to lose that game, which is not a
conference home game.  Now they have to bounce back against Louisville.
After 19 straight wins, I don't think I can comprehend a losing streak.

later,
Scott

Way to go, Tommy and the Pirates!

Syracuse is a very good team, but it appeared that the Hall simply wanted this
game more.

The irony is so thick.  After all of the woofing between Syracuse and
Duke fans, Syracuse loses to a team coached by a former Duke player (and
coach).  In the words of Alanis Morissette  "Isn't it ironic, don't you
think.  A little too ironic, and yeah I really do think".

Yep and who would've thought Amaker's decision to coach for Duke's biggest
in-state rival would have worked out so well?  What a great year for Jersey...

I can't say I'm too surprised.  Syracuse hasn't been playing well
offensively ever since the UConn game, when everyone realized that
they shouldn't give Syracuse wide open threes to shoot anymore.  Hart
and Blackwell both got the flu and have supposedly recovered, but both
of them are struggling as of late (did Hart really have ZERO
assists in this game?).

Well, better now than later, plenty of time to make some adjustments
and be ready come tournament time.

I'm also wondering why Jason Hart sat so much of the second half?
Griffin was not exactly lighting the place up.
