Street & Smith Picks (I know, I know...)

Street & Smith Picks (I know, I know...)

Post by Alan Sepinwa » Mon, 20 Sep 1993 09:07:26

Color me stupid, especially in light of some of the responses to my
posting of the Petersen's picks, but I got Street & Smith over the
weekend, and I figured I'd post their picks as well.

NOTE:  I'm doing this as a service to anybody who doesn't feel like
shelling out five bucks for a pre-season rag, NOT because I necessarily
agree with the picks.  If you have a problem with these, complain to the
editors of Street & Smith, not me.

Here they are, real quick:

        ATLANTIC        CENTRAL         MIDWEST         PACIFIC
1.      Knicks          Bulls           Rockets         Suns
2.      Magic           Cavs            Jazz            Sonics
3.      Nets            Hawks           Spurs           Warriors
4.      Heat            Hornets         Mavs            Blazers
5.      Celtics         Pacers          Nuggets         Lakers
6.      Bullets         Pistons         T-Wolves        Clippers
7.      76ers           Bucks           --------        Kings

The way I see it, this one should***off fans of the Bullets, Hornets,
Nuggets and Kings, and should please or perplex fans of the Heat, Celtics,
Hawks, and Mavericks.

(And please, no e-mail requests as to why in hell Fran Blinebury of the
Houston Chronicle picked the Mavs for 4th.  I still don't understand it
myself)

Finally, once again, let me remind you that these are NOT my picks, but
the picks that I got from reading Street & Smith. (Sorry I had to repeat
that, but I didn't want a repeat of last time).

Let the flames begin!

Like I said before, I'd drop the Celtics at least 1 maybe 2 spots.

I'll tell you right now.  *** induced stupidity.  How can anyone
think that the Mavs will be better than the Nuggets.  Hell, they'll
be lucky to be better than the Wolves.

I figure this guy (no scott, I'm not talking about Alan here) took a
deep puff around the time he wrote down the Celtics at 5, and it
started to take effect right after he wrote down the Cavs.  He seems
to have switched a very good team everywhere.  The Bullets should be
better than the C's, the Hornets better than the Hawks, the Nooggies
better than the Mavs, and the Clippers better than the Lakers (If AC
is gone -- an almost forgone conclusion).  The Kings blew this draft
bigtime.

Yes they are, stop lying.  Signed Scott :-)
