Maybe you can find a new G.M. for the Pirates or a job for Mr. Bonifay.

Dear Ken,

I'd like to apply for the position as General Manager of the L.A.
Dodgers.  I feel that this position has been neglected for far too
long by the Dodgers' organization.  They've been trying to fill it
based on contacts from within the organization, and it's obvious to
everyone that that just hasn't worked out.  I can bring fresh insights
from outside of their team, which will help build a wiener.

Additionally, I have the ability to work in a very "hazy" environment,
since I grew up near Cleveland.  This will cut down on expenses by
Dodgers, since I'm one of the few who won't have need for an oxygen
mask.  For these reasons and more, I feel I'd be of great value to
their organization.  I look forward to hearing from you soon.
