I am playing in a Mixed, 5X5, 10-team, Yahoo league that I find to be
slightly rediculous, but I am in for the season so I might as well play
it out.

I have noticed these two players on waivers:
Troy Glaus - 3B (I have Vinny Castilla, but would take Glaus as a bench
player)
Rich Aurelia - SS (switch with Relaford?)

I have:
Paul Konerko - 1B (bench in favor of Helton)
Desi Relaford - SS (playing while ARod injured)

Are these guys worth picking up?  Or are they just having a hot start?

yes do it. Glaus should be a fine player this year.  Aurilla isn't great
but he's better than Relaford.

a 10-team MIXED league, and you have Relaford at SS?
FWIW, he didn't even get drafted in our 9-team NL-only league.

I'd say it's a near no-brainer to get Aurilia to replace Relaford, even
though Aurilia's hot start means, based on the law of averages, you're going
to catch a cold spell to offset what he's already got on the books - because
he likely won't hit more than .280, and he sure won't have 112 RBI, which is
the pace he's on.

If you'd read all the way through, you would have found that I picked up
Relaford to replace ARod, who was my #1 pick.  The league I am in has placed an
emphasis on infield players, so I was picking up someone off of waivers to
replace him for now.  I know that Aurelia had a great start, but I wan't going
to dump Relaford just to get a hot player.  I wanted to come here and find out
what everyone else found out about the stats for the two.

OKAY?
