Rice (with less flashy talent) outplayed the Fab Five
right up to the end, and as we know, very nearly upset
Michigan.  Can Michigan "fail to show up for the lesser
teams" with any regularity and hope to stay in the
overall NCAA race?

If Michigan plays Duke the way it played Rice, then
they'll be warming up the Michigan bus at halftime.

This is my point exactly.  I was not saying that Rice is a bad team, only
that everyone (or almost everyone) in the country flat out expected Michigan
to win.  It was a game that they were supposed to win, but they didn't seem
to have their heads in the game, i.e. they didn't show up to play.

I agree that if they play Duke the way they played against Rice, they will
be blown out.  My point is, though, that Duke is supposed to be good,
therefore Michigan will probably "show up", and play well.  However,
sometime during the season, Michigan will probably lose to someone like
Wisconson or Minnesota.

As long as they're not a high seed (no creampuff automatics), and
don't meet Arizona early, they're a shoo-in.

Is this some kind of anti-woof?
