Ok, first Duke will get the 1 seed and go to C***te.  It is closer, and
Duke will be rated ahead of UCONN.

As an ACC fan, I think you're nuts.  Auburn will get the 1 seed here before
Maryland, and Auburn will probably go to the MW and play in New Orleans.
If they're a 2, they'll still go to New Orleans is my bet, with Mich St.
going to Milwaukee.  But Michigan St. and Auburn (and probably Stanford)
get #1s before Maryland.

I can accept leaving them out of the bracket, but how can you not mention
Wake Forest among the teams whose bubble has been burst??  This team is #4
outright in the ACC and is at worst one win away from the NCAAs.

Are you serious?  How many times have two regular-season opponents (and
rivals, mind you) met in the first round of the NCAAs?

He's been listening to Vital, Phelps, Kellog et al... We all know the
ACC will only get three teams in the tournament!

No mention of Wake Forest?
College of Charleston a 7 seed?

I agree Wake should probably be mentioned (and if they beat
N.C. State in the 4/5 game get in), but Charleston is an
intersting point (again).  Where should Charleston be seeded?
They are ranked 16th/17th by the polls.  The most recent RPI
has Charleston rated #36 and they should get a positive secret
adjustment for beating North Carolina and not that big a negative
adjustment for losing to South Carolina and Georgia.

Going straight off RPI, they would be a 9 seed.  Considering what
happened two years ago when they were a 12 in what seems to be
a similar situation, I could see them being anywhere from a 6 to
a 10.  So 7 seems reasonable (at least to me).

Dude, there is absolutely no way that Duke is not going to get the #1 seed
in the East, unless they lose to ***ia.  I thoguht we settled this
weeks ago.

I see your point.  I cross-checked the Sagarin, and he's got the Cougars
at #41.

You are leaving out Purdue???  A team that is ranked #26 (ESPN), #23 (AP),
and #20 (RPI) is not good enough to make the 64 team field?

But....

RPI (#38) - AP (#44)  - ESPN (NR) Mississippi gets in?
RPI(#45) - AP (NR) - ESPN (NR) DePaul gets in?
RPI(#65) - AP(#43) - ESPN(#38) Xavier gets in?
RPI(#28) - AP(#34) - ESPN(#30) Missouri gets in?
RPI(#42) - AP(#36) - ESPN(#34) Oklahoma gets in?

I can't see leaving out Purdue since they are in the top 26 of all 3
ranking systems.  I think that Purdue would have a really good "we got
screwed" case if they are left out...

I don't think there's any way that Auburn and Duke will end up in the same
region.  Duke is obviously the #1 team on the selection board, and if Auburn
doesn't get a #1 seed, they will be the best #2 seed on the board in the eyes
of the committee.  The committee probably will not put the first #1 seed and
the first #2 seed in the same region.
