Anybody know what the TV coverage will be like this year. Does
CBS own everything? Is there going to be anything on ESPN/2, etc.
I haven't watched the tournament since Penn State was in it last.

I believe its the same deal as the past few years. All games belong to
CBS and they will show 4 a day for the first weekend and cut into the
others where they can. I belive its a doubleheader at 12 and 8 or
something like that.

Actually the coverage is as follows. All are on CBS :

1st round on Thursday March 14 and Friday March 15
12:00 - 6:00
The west will have a game that starts at 5:00. All games are
regionialized

8:00 -12:00
Some games will start at 7:30 for a staggered start. Local interest
will pickup these games prior to the national coverage at 8.

2nd round Sat
12:00 -10:00
5 games will be shown here on the best day of the year. All times are
staggered once again.  Look for a great matchup at 8:00 since this is
a game that the whole country sees. The rest are regionialized.
Sunday
12:00- 7:00

Sweet Six***
Thursday  3/21 and Friday 3/22
8:00- 12:00
Staggered starts at 7:30 for local interest games.

Eight
Saturday and Sunday
Afternoon starts usually around 2 or 3

Final Four
Sat 3/30
6:25 and 9:00

Champ
Monday 4/1
9:12
Hope this helps you out.

I wish they would do some kind of pay-per-view thing, where you would
pay to have all the games ($40 maybe?).  That way you wouldn't be at
the mercy of CBS to switch to the games that are interesting.
