Yeah, Kentucky will not be a #1 seed, especialy after their loss to
Florida. And Kansas will most likely not be a #2 seed. Even if they are
it will NOT be in the same region as Arizona. They have been in the same
region 3 straight years and played each other in the last 2 tournaments.
It won't be 4 straight. Trust me. Anyway, look for Kansas to grab a #1
seed. I can't see them losing any more than possibly one game. Most
likely none though.

: Southeast region:
: Duke (1) vs Grambling (16)

: East region:
: North Carolina (1) vs Vermont (16)

: Comments, anyone?

Right now, Duke would be #1 in the East.
After Thursday, the winner will be headed
there.  Duke and UNC want to play the East
Regional, which is in Greensboro.

While I agree that UNC and Duke are battling for the No. 1 seed in the
East, it won't be settled Thursday night. They play again on Feb. 25,
followed by a possible third meeting in the ACC Tournament. Maybe if one
wins both regular season meetings the tournament won't matter, but then
again, Duke won both meetings in '91 and got shipped to the Midwest
after losing to UNC in the ACC title game.<
<
As it now stands Duke, UNC, Arizona and Kansas are the clear No. 1
seeds. Kentucky and Utah are in the best position to move up if any of
the top falter.<
   That's just MHO.<

Michigan St. a #2? Utah a #4? Both of these are way off
in my opinion. Utah is ranked 5th in the country. They
were a final eight team last year. Their only loss this
year is at New Mexico on a three point shot at the buzzer.
Flip flop those two schools and you would be closer.

Well, I've seen them with RPI's around 8 or 9, according
to some calculations, thanks to their #1 schedule strength
rating by RPIs.  That makes them close to a #3 seed.
(May change, of course)

Correct analysis.  I meant to say that the winner Thursday
will be the team "on track" for the #1 seed, like Duke is
right now.  All that is subject to change with the other
games, as you point out.

3rd place in the ACC will probably warrant a 3 or
4 seed.
