final take on final four nba prospects

After watching the championship, I came to realize a few things about
the nba prospects of some of the participants:

1) andre miller is a 2 guard playing point guard.  Only problem is that
he goes 6'1", which is not ideal for an nba 2 guard.  If this guy gets
major minutes at the point in the pros, the all-time turnover records
are in serious jeopardy.  In the game last night he could have had 12-15
turnovers if utah's other players would not have bailed him out.  He
throws the ball around with recklessness.  The obvious other problem he
has is his inability to shoot the jump shot. Question- how many shots
outside 7 feet did miller take all game?  Answer- zero, because his
range ends at 5 feet.
2) nazi mohammed and michael doleac need to be taught how to play lost
post defense.  These guys were just posting each other up 2.5 feet from
the hoop.  Defenders in the nba cannot allow that.  They are both far
too soft defensively to be good pro centers.

Anyways, cbs had horrible coverage.  But what could you expect. After
all, they are known for producing memorable female comedy stars- lucy,
mary, heck, even ahmad rashads wife.  Well ok, not ahmad rashads wife. I
wanted to vomit every time they would give a promo for one of their
series and then show its star at the game.

But my basic take on the nba prospects is this:  This draft is going to
be the worst ever.  The high school talent is low also.  It could be
even worse if guys like jamison decide to stay.  But what if he does
come out? To tell the truth, I am not that big on him anyway.  Michael

WTF!  He is definitely NOT a SG.  Miller doesn't shoot well from the outside
as you point out later in the post, and SGs are mainly asked in the NBA to
shoot from the outside.  All this while his PG skills are phenomenal.  His
quickness, court vision, passing, and unselifishness are excellent.  The only
thing he really needs to watch is his turnovers (as against Kentucky).

Disagree.  Sometimes he tends to be turnover prone, but 12-15 is not even
close as an estimate in the KY game, and he didn't play well in that
department anyway.  For all-time turnovers watch Jerry Stackhouse and tapes of
Allen I-verson last year.

Not true at all, since he took at least 2 threes near the end of the game.  He
also shot 35+% from 3pt range this year, not too bad for someone whose range
supposedly ends at 5 feet.  His jump shot is not great, but has greatly
improved in 3 years at Utah and will improve even more after the fourth.

Neither played well defensively last night, but they both showed some
offensive skills.

Why aren't you big on Jamison?

For the same reasons everybody else isn't that crazy about him- small
forward body but no small forward skills.  Michael
