Erik Meek's health

Post by George W. Harr » Mon, 21 Oct 1991 06:14:07

There was  anote in last Tuesday's Durham & Raleigh papers (which my
parents sent me- the dears) saying that Erik Meek had made a 'miraculous rec-
overy' & would be ready to start practicing with the team immediately.  They
also noted that Kenny Blakeney's rehabilitation from off-season knee surgery
was successful, & he too has the green light to practice right away.

Hmmm, here I am living in Boston, & *I'm* posting news about Duke?
Some of you people down in North Carolina need to get on the ball!

To be honest, I didn't even know Kenny Blakeney had knee surgery in
the off-season. Besides, you are talking about guys who never played
a minute for Duke, yet. Naturally, they are not in the spotlight.
As for us North Carolinians not being on the ball, you know, at this
time of the year the net belongs to the Arizona and UCLA posters.
They own October & November. We'll talk in March and April.
