Actually, I heard that they were just going to let Georgia Tech play
as the home team in the Olympics next year.  Why worry about Manhattan
when you've got Angola? :)

Weber St.

First round pairings will not be announced till this summer, but
speculation goes they will be as follows

Arizona and Weber St.
Fresno St. and Long Beach St.
Oklahoma and DePaul
Colgate and Michigan
Temple and Georgetown
Manhattan and Rider
Georgia Tech and Jackson St.

I could see them trying to put the two in the same bracket for a 2nd
round matchup, but I doubt they would group two teams that are so
geographically far away even IF it would make for a good show. The NIT
commitee states that they want to make travelling as easy as possible
for the first rounds.

Either way I can't wait. I was so pissed of that GT did not make it that I
didn't watch a single NCAA Tourney game!

  Now that (former UNLV president)Bob Maxson is at Long Beach and
  (former UNLV coach) Jerry Tarkanian is at Fresno, this could be
  quite a grudge match in some peoples eyes.
