Trivia Question: The Name's The Same

Trivia Question: The Name's The Same

Post by Stuart Schulm » Tue, 27 Feb 1990 16:07:33

Mike Marshall the pitcher won a Cy Young award with the Dodgers and finished
his career with the Mets.  Mike Marshall the OF/1B will (assuming no trade)
play for both the Mets and the Dodgers as well.

There is at least one other pair of players with the same first and last name
who have played for the same two teams, a la Marshall.  Can you name them,
and the two teams they both played for?

E-mail responses welcome.

There were two major league pitchers named Bob Miller, I think, and one of
them was traded about a dozen times.  So this is a reasonable guess.

Another guess would be the Sam Jones pair, "Sad" and "Toothpick."  I think
they both spent some time with the Giants and possibly the Cubs as well.

Bob Davis           Disclaimer: I'm just guessing as usual.

There are currently two Greg Harrises, both pitchers, who may have both
been in the same organization (I'm not sure...),
but not at the major league level.

Both Bob Millers were members of the NY Mets (I think it was '62).
