Am I the only one who thought the judges had it right?

After watching last nights fights I can't figure out what fight Lampley,
Stewart and Ledderman were watching.  It was a great fight and very
exciting.  I am all in favor of a rematch but when I look at this fight
round by round Toney has it all over Jirov.  The HBO crew were not giving
Toney credit for his excellent defense.  Sure Jirov had a high punch output
but he was hitting Toney's gloves, shoulders while Toney was rolling with
the punches.  Toney was pretty much landing at will.  Toney had 50% plus
more landed punches than Jirov and he knocked Jirov down not to mention the
fact that Jirov also had a point deducted for a low blow.  It is no wonder
that the judges gave the fight to Toney by the margins they did.  I will
admit that a lot of those rounds were close but they were definately Toney's
rounds.

Even in the rounds that Jirov won he was still playing right into Toney's
hand because he was expending to much energy for what little he did get
accomplished against Toney.  I wish Merchant had been there last night
because I think he would have put Harold Ledderman in his place and told him
how to score a fight.  Lampley doesn't know how to do an interview IMO.
Lampley looked intimidated by Toney and scared to press the hard questions.
If Merchant had been there we would have seen Toney have to answer some
tough questions.  I would have like to hear Vasili Jirov's view of the
fight.  Overall this was definately fight of the year but it was not a
robbery or even a questionable decision by a long shot.

The fight was very tough to score in terms of scoring with the concsensus of
the boxing community. I don't think there is two people who scored this fight
exactly the same, for instance someome might think Toney lost round 1 and
others may think Jirov lost round 1.

Here goes Chee again with the getting paid song and dance. Look at Chee showing
his loyalty to  fellow human beings that make money off boxing. Don't forget,
CHee's an insider and his name is up there with King, DIbella, De La Hoya, SRL,
Arum, all those guys.

If you're going to respond to this guy, would you mind removing his
"content"... I'd prefer not to killfile those who get suckered into the
prolonging the waste-of-time aspects of this "coulda-been-great" newsgroup.

Thanks,
Norm

To Chee, everyone else is on welfare and a scrounge (sp?) Sorry we can' t make
as much money as Chee. Sorry we aren't as great as Chee. Sorry my DNA/genome
doesn't permit me to have such sucess. But, overall it's worth not having all
the money from boxing and sucess because I wouldn't want to act like such as
***, like Chee.

Yes, you are the only person who thought the judges had it right.

Have you cashed your check from Toney or Melvina Lathan yet?

Move along Troll.  You swear and tell people to go to hell like you are working over time for the Hell's Angel dating service.
I've yet to read a boxing related post from you.  All your posts are throw ***at people.

If I can't give my view that all you free scribes do is *** about others works...then you should move along and go to a place that
doesn't allow others to express their opinions.

My opinion stands.  It always seems that those who don't get paid are the first ones to trash those who do.
Well if you guys are so much better than Larry, Stewart or Lampley... then you'd be doing their jobs
