Lou DelValle was one of Roy's sparring partners for the Antoine Byrd fight
because they (Byrd and DelValle) were both southpaws.  The fight ended in a
1st round TKO.

Roy scored the first knockdown wiht his counter left hook off a jab.  His
second knockdown was from a left hook with Byrd against the ropes and the end
of the fight came after two soutpaw left hands from Roy.

In an ESPN interview some time later, Roy was asked if he ever held back in
the ring for the saftey of his opponent and he mentioned the Byrd fight where
he 'took something off' of his last punch before the stoppage.  The fight
could have been stopped before the last punch because Byrd was defenseless.

...of course  after the fight, Byrd was angry that the ref stopped it because
he thought he was ok. :)
