i have never seen this naseem hammed guy fight but i have a question. who
do you think would win in a fight.
kevin kelley
or
naseem hammed
the last few fights i have seen of kevin kelley have been unimpressive.
from what i hear hammed is the second coming (of something). so unless
experience is to play a major part is it safe to assume that hammed would
win?

Never seen this Hammed guy fight, but Kelley would kick his ass! Yeah.

Don't ask me why. I just said that cause I am a fan. :)

I've seen Kelley fight on TNF and/or Top Rank I think three
times.  I've seen Hamed on Univision once, back in August.  Given
Kelley's unimpressive showing as of late, I think it would only go a
few rounds.  Maybe five rounds or so before Hamed does a Jones  on a
helpless Kelley, and the ref stops it.  I don't think Kelley would have
a single round on any judge's card when the fight is stopped...

At this point of his career Kevin 'Flushing Flash' Kelley is pretty over
the hill. It happened incredibly fast as he was pound-for-pound top 10 candidate
just few years ago. I have to say that Kelley who fought Goyo Vargas would
be a serious test for Naseem who is absolutely amazing fighter but the
present Kelley would collapse in three or four rounds.

Hamed is a great fighter, but who did he beat? Steve Robinson had 9 losses
on his record. Kelley is faster and more experience than Hamed. Right now,
I'll take Kelley by 3-4 point dec.

re: Kelley vs Hamed

Provided the weight isn't an issue at this point in time,
this would be an excellent match-up. I'd really like to
see it.

Hamed has *never* fought someone in Kelley's league, even
though Kelley's somewhat shot these days. Hamed would be
meeting someone who doesn't give away too much in the
speed department. Kelley would find a way to land.

I've never seen Hamed fight, but the way Kelley has been fighting
lately a blind man could beat him.

*************************************************************

I have seen almost all Naseem Hamed's fights on video and quite a few of
Kevin Kelley's most recent ones too. I would say Hamed is just
reaching his prime whilst Kelley, on his showing when he lost the title
and then in the the draw against Adams, is most definately on the way
out.

Perhaps the brutal war with Vargas took more out of Kevin than was
generally thought.

I'd pick Naseem to win inside 6 rounds.

Yikes.  That's pretty bold considering how poor Kelley's looked lately and
how awesome Hamed has looked.  While Hamed hasn't fought quality
opposition, I think his skills are readily apparant.  Kelley slowed down a
bit.  I pick Hamed by late round stoppage.

Naz has too much speed for Kelley? WRONG. Kelley is faster than Hamed.

When have you seen Hamed? I have yet to see him. Has he been on US TV? I want
to laugh at all the people that claim him to be the awesome god of boxing he
boasts to be, but I can't until I have seen him.

I gotta say, though, that Sean O'Grady, er, Kevin Kelley sure went downhill
fast.

(at least Sean knew enough to get out of the ring and keep his baby face.)
