Do you think that Tyson will come in for the Etienne fight anywhere near his
prime weight of 217-220 pounds? Or are we going to see the fat buddha who
fought Nielsen and Lewis?

Tyson hasn't been below 220 lbs. since the second Holyfield fight so I doubt
he even can manage that now. We'll probably see him come in around 225 lbs,
at least.

Since Lewis wasn't an incentive for him to lose weight, I seriously doubt if
the weak-chinned Etienne will be an incentive.  I would expect him to be
carrying excess weight!

Following the last reports he is already at 229 pounds
with three weeks to go it will not suprise me that he will come in at
220/222 pounds
The running everymorning has done him very well.

Excuse me Lewis is weak chinned, Etienne is not just look at their records.

I know their records--Lewis has been KO'd twice and Etienne has been KO'd
once.  Etienne went down seven times against Fres Oquendo.  I think Lewis
would destroy Oquendo.  IMO Lewis and Etienne both have less than durable
chins.  Time will tell about Etienne who certainly hasn't faced the level of
competition that Lewis has.

Bzzzt...wrong.  Lewis' chin is average.  Etienne's is very weak.  Look at
their records.  Etienne got dropped twice in his last fight by Franz Botha.
Yes, that Botha.  He got bounced around like a tennis ball by Oquendo.  He
is in huge trouble in this fight unless Tyson has reduced to a level of
suckitude that even we detractors have missed.

Tyson has been reduced that much.  The problem I have is that his detractors
keep prentending he's at his peak so they can discredit the little flash of
brilliance he did have at his peak.

Why would Tyson's weight matter in any fight he's in now?

He is a shell of a fighter.  Why is anybody interested in watching Tyson
fight.....? Unless you enjoy watching him getting his ass kicked.  I 've
always hated him, but even I don't want the boredom of watching him have his
head handed to him.  I do enjoy the *** of Tyson fans watching him
caressing another man's razor stubbled face!

I imagine Tyson will be around 228.

I'm going to ask another question, though.  Do people really think
Tyson weighed 236 in his fight with Lewis?  If so, he carried that weight very
well.  He didn't look 234 to me.  More like 225.

If that's true, that will be very good for him.  But I don't think
you can trust any info coming out of many training camps, especially from those
of fighters who are far past their primes and on comebacks.
Tyson has been said to be in "the best shape of his life" for almost
every one of his fights, at least all of the bigger ones, over the past six,
seven years.  Such news out of camps is always suspect.

I wouldn't be surprised if Tyson was "injured" in training and the
bout with Etienne was delayed, as has happened with so many of Tyson's fights.

I agree, he didn't look like he was carrying enough excess to meet that
weight.

I did however just watch a few older Tyson fights, and he does appear to be
carrying a little more bulk today then mid-eighties. ie. Muscle mass.

LOL!  I shifted uneasily in my chair when I saw Tyson caress that ***,
sweat and stubble face!  So...where was his other hand during all this?
;o)

That would be a good strategy, delay the fight and keep lewis from fighting
anyone. Then suing Lewis that he also is forced to use anti-depressants so that
he will not hit after the bell hit while holding and so on.....:-)
Piece of his own medicine so to say.
