Actual Footage Used in 'Great White Hope' Movie?

I was expecting to hate the 'Great White Hope'  boxing comedy movie
but was surprised to find it's really good. A great cast of actors
including Cheech Marin, Samuel Jackson, and Damon Wayans.

In the scene where they are reviewing videos of white heavies a lot of
attention was paid to detail. They found actors/extras who actually
resembled some of the boxers out there today.

I recommend this movie, it was really good.

It's "Great White Hype." There was actual footage of boxing matches during
the movie, including Ray Mercer's demolition of Tommy Morrison. I think
Courage Tshabala (sp?) was also in one clip. "The Great White Hype" had
its moments, but overall I thought it was pretty lame.

Those weren't actors, they were actual clips from the fights. Did you
actually think they reacted the Mercer KO of Morrison.
