What is the most balls on the break anyone has made or heard of someone
making in 9-ball.
My best is Six.

But this is second hand information. I have never witnessed it firsthand.

The m***of this story?
A: Making three on the break is a very inspirational experience. I've
resolved to practice breaking over and over until it happens again.
(I'll probably be at it a long time.)
B: Slow-motion video of pros shooting break shots is also an
inspirational experience. Fortunately, my VCR can provide this, even
though ESPN doesn't.

I've always been an eight ball shooter until this last spring when I took
more to nine and then to 14.1 as well. From time to time I played nine ball
tourneys though, because thats what all the decent size tourneys with they
better shooters were playing. It seemed to me that when I wasn't playing as
much my breaks were more solid than they are now. My cue ball wasn't
controlled as well but I almost always made balls on the break, and quite
often it was two or three. Now I only make balls about %50 of the time and
rarely do I make more than one ball and invariably there's a cluster on the
foot rail now. I'm keeping my cue ball in the middle of the table more
often, but the rest of my break seems to be suffering. It seems like the
breaks that I get the most action on tend to pot balls the least. Can
anyone offer help??
I have however made the nine in 4 in a row... the most I have ever heard
rumors of is 6 in a book of pool stories, any confirmations out there of
6. 9-ball break
