Probably no great shake for you guys but I don't remember ever doing it
before last night.  I've made 4 balls a few times.  So I'm still doing the
very loose grip break and I slammed in 2 stripes and 3 solids.  And yes, I
capitalized and ran out from there.

I've always found that when you sink a bunch on the break that you
always seem to be left frozen to the rail behind the eight ball somewhere.

Yea, I got lucky and it was a fairly easy runout from there.  I don't
remember exactly where the cueball started.  I think your observation can
probably be explained by the the correlation between making a bunch of balls
and hitting hard enough to do that.  The more power we use, the less control
generally we have of the cueball so the more likely it is that something bad
will happen to it.  The flip side of my new and improved break is that while
I am making lots of balls now, the cueball will end up on the floor about
once or twice a night now!  I'm working on that but its been a very
worthwhile tradeoff so far.
