Official Record 7 balls on the break

Jamie McWhorter made seven balls on the break against Jesse Mash.
This feat was performed in The Viking Cue 9-Ball Tour event at Sharks'N
shooters in Charleston  on October 23-24.  I don't know which day.

Have any of you ever seen 8 balls made on the break in a nine ball game?  By
the way, this was on 8 foot tables.....Still quite a feat.

I haven't seen eight on the break, Joey but witnessed 7 on the break on
a 9ft table.  Unfortunately the player wasn't able to get out, length of
the table bank. It was this player's brightest moment in pool and his
best chance at running out a rack, we were all rooting for him but the
bank shot was too much.  I think he has improved since then.

Official Record 7 balls on the break

Troy NY had a player in the late 40s put all nine in on the break with the old
clay balls. I didn't witness the feat. It was told to me by the owner of the
room. Who had no axe to grind. The fellow according to him had put 7 of nine in
twice once getting stiched. In the early 60s I racked nineball for him for 3
hours to observe his break. He hadn't played in 5 years after 10 minutes of
warming up he gave me a breaking exhibition. The least he put in on the break
was 3 balls with 6 being his highest. He never lunged,,jumped, he just hit the
cueball. It sounded like a bomb going off. He had a gift that he chose not to
use. For all you Keno fans he had put as manny as 10 balls up on the board on
the break. He was barred from the Keno game.  ,

I was disappointed in Mike Shamos' "THE ILLUSTRATED ENCYCLOPEDIA OF BILLIARDS"
when I saw that "Keno" was not included among  the K's in his book. Lots of
creative vocabulary started at the Keno table in the back of the poolroom.

Never seen 8. I made 6 on the break one time and couldn't see the lowest
numbered ball because the damn 5 ball came to rest right up against the cue
ball.
