Anyone out there have comments on this flame?  I know Viking had calf-skin as
standard on several of their cues several years ago.  I also know that some
current models have calf-skin as standard.  This was confirmed from two
people at Viking. One via phone, the other over E-mail:

The "almost without exception" includes model Q1 and the GH series which come
with calf-skin (phone conversation confirmed CALF SKIN).  I also now know
that Jerry works at Viking. Hmmm... I won't believe anything Jerry says from
now on.

My opinion of Viking cues isn't getting any better.  Anyone else?

Viking Cues (was Re: cue suggestions?)

Viking makes an okay cue.   I played with a Q22 for a while.  The cue hit
well, but not great.  I was happy to move on to a better hitting cue.  If
someone is planning to spend under 150.00, Viking is a good choice.  Above
that, I think there are many better options.   If money is an important
issue, I recommend purchasing a low line cue from a better cue maker.
