Thanks again Ernie.  My cable company (Suddenlink) has it on the deuce
12/23 starting at 1PM (2 and 3 thereafter) in case others want to 'save
it' as well.  Set to TIVO here now.

Relegated to talking to myself once again...  Huh?  You talking to me?
(helps to be schizy)

So I have managed to watch the first 1 and a half matches...  can you
believe Alison dogged that straight in shot in sudden-death?  She always
seemed immune to that kind of stuff in my recollections of her skills.

Mark, I think that among pros in their middle ages, the women's skills seem to diminish faster and further than similarly aged men players.  I can think of a number of reasons why this may be true. (BTW, Alison will be 45 years-old on her next birthday.)

Here (below) are the ages of some present day professional players seen more or less frequently at state, regional and national tournaments; the great majority still playing excellent pool well past age forty. Players' ages career accomplishments and brief bios can be seen at:

http://www.internationalpooltour.com/Players/ and in individual Wikipedia articles

Billiards Hall of Fame inductees are asterisked and you can read full bios of all the Hall of Fame players over five decades here:
