Dear Hugh,  I'm happy for Jamie that he sunk "7 balls in one game", but I've
seen people sink 9 balls in one game. OH......you meant on the break!! Well,
that's different.  Ha Ha  :o)  Sincerely, Sam (Just kidding)

Hi

Do any of you guys know the record for balls made off the break in pro 9
ball? I read a post a couple of months back on BD about Bustamante breaking
in 5 balls in one match. A friend told me that Dennis Hatch once made 6
balls a few years ago in a poolroom tourney. I've made 5 myself on a few
occasions but my average is usually 1 or 2 balls. I realise it's not the
most important part of the game - just look at Efren! I never break from the
side, just centre table or one or two inches off the side. It works well but
any other info on breaking would be much appreciated. Thanks to all.

And Tom wanted to play me for a beer and burger.  I guess he didn't know
about my feat of seven with one hit.

Mario, you remembered!  ;<)

PS - I got your email, and I'm looking for a chance to get back
together with you.  I have played about three times since last January
-- bad shoulder, travel, yadda yadda -- and I'd say you stand a real
good chance of running over me.  But as soon as I can see an
opportunity, or when you see an open day, let's play!

Met vriendelijke groeten,

Hey Joey,

You're still on for the beer and burger, but unless you want to hop
the Big Pond to the Netherlands the match will have to wait a while.
About the 6-on-the-break thing -- I've got a break like somebody's
Granny, and I didn't hit 'em that hard.  They just all went toward
holes.  I was as surprised as Mario!

BTW, if you really want that beer and burger, there are some good
off-season rates on New Orleans-to-Brussels flights (or into
Amsterdam.)  Practice up on your one-pocket, and when you think you're
ready ... come on over!  You can rassle with Mario at 9-ball up in
Leiden and then come down South and play me some one hole... Time it
right, win the Center Pocket fall tournament, and you could pay for
your flight.

Or I'll see you next time I'm down your way.  ;<)

Best regards,

Tom

Hey Tom,
You nor Mario "bit" on my seven with one hit.  This is a story that
Smorgasbord would tell much better.  But the short of it is that on a hot
summer day we were barbecuing and I managed to smack 7 fly(s) with one hit
from my flyswatter.  :-)

No lie, I saw a guy make 7 balls in one break, and the only two balls that
didn't go in was the 9 and the 7, and he got snookered behind the 9. Couldn't
see the 7. Tell me that doesn't SUCK!

Larry Lisciotti claims the same thing. Seven balls on the break, hooked
behind the 9-ball.

Fred <~~~ has done 6 three times, never ran out.
