Hey ultimate players, even if the Groundhog did see its shadow, we
have an ultimate tournament that is sure to usher in Spring in San
Francisco,announcing:

THE SPRING GREEN FLING IV COED ULTIMATE BENEFIT TOURNAMENT

March 14/15 in Cupertino at Peterson Middle School (next to San Jose,
40 minutes south of San Francisco)

# of Teams:  16 (4/3 coed)Cost per team:  minimum of $175 (it is a
benefit, please ask your company if they do corporate matching
andconsider asking co-workers and friends for donations.  Info on the
beneficiaryis below.)

For your cash, you get:

-a fun coed tourney
-two great days of ultimate
-snacks and fruit
-fabulous prizes
-use of the BACU kareoke machine (prizes awarded for best sing-a-long)
-participation in a huge donation to the non-profit organization
OdysseyWorld Trek (see below for a description)

TO RESERVE YOUR TEAM'S BID, you must:
1)  fill out the registration form completely and return it to

2)  send a check for $175 to Alan Harder, c/o Odyssey World Trek, 207

Bids will be confirmed by Drew or Alan.  Bids are on a first come,
firstserved basis based on us receiving a check!!!!

ABOUT THE BENEFICIARY:

As with all Bay Area Coed Ultimate (BACU) events, this is a
fund-raiser.  Thisyear's beneficiary is ODYSSEY WORLD TREK.  It is an
education/serviceorganization.  This July, 10 volunteer team members
will set out on a worldtrek to do service projects with international
grassroots non-profits.Students will be connected to them via the
internet.  Through the Odyssey,students will have an interactive,
learning environment about the world;teachers will have lesson plans
to help their students understand worldcultures, gain communication
skills, see social change, and do servicelearning.Odyssey World Trek
can really use our help in three areas:      
-cash donations        
-volunteer help in the education, marketing, or
technology departments
-business donations of cash or in-kind goods

Directions to Peterson Middle School and tourney format will be made
available with bid confirmation.  Help make this a "green" Spring
Green Fling event: bring re-usable watercontainers to the fields and
reduce tournament trash by reusing, recycling,and composting your
waste. Because it is a school, NO Dogs, *** or *** allowed!!!!
