I have started practicing acrobatic on my unicycle, but I would like to
get some inspiration on what it possible. I have seen Sem Abrahamsen do
his show, and it is a bit like that I have in mind. Therefore I ask:

Do any of you know where to find a video of him, or anybody else who do
acrobatics on uni ??

It need to be in the European PAL format of VHS.

I would be glad for any help.

As far as I can tell, the main problem is muscular power.
You just have to be able to do all your stuff with 40 kg+ than usual (if
you're lucky and find a light daredevil partner), eventually with a BIG lever
added for most maneuvers.

Each time I've seen shows such as Sem's, I've been impressed with the
wheel movements: jerking all around under control while he was playing with
his partner.

I guess that you might override most of that need with precision and
technique but... how are you going to learn that technique ?

Right now, I can't spend several hours a week just body-building, and the
best I've been able to do is carry a very light partner for a little
over 10 meters. After that, I have to abort as I do feel responsible for
her, and I don't feel like I'm in control any longer. Plus the danger to
my own ankles... I feel this is very dangerous to try this kind of stuff
casually.

Anybody got any pointer on how to start ?

All I can offer is that at Unicon in August we saw some great pairs
acrobatics on unicycle from Julian Monney/Adrien Husser (Switzerland),
and also from Michael Kirsch/Bernadette Girshausen (Germany); various
others also included some acro moves in routines. Sem and Teresa
Abrahams did their routine in the public show. There must be some video
footage of all of this.

I think it was Julian/Adrien who did an entire acro-balance routine on
one unicycle. If you know the standard pairs moves, you would
recognise most of them in that routine - so yes, it is possible (but
hard!)

Michael Kirsch is now a director of the IUF, and we're expecting him
to come on-line in the near future - does anyone know when?

You can see a few tantalising photos of these people in action, in the
latest ed. of On One Wheel from the USA.
