Here is an update on lodging for the 1997 National Unicycle Convention. If

information will also be in the next issue of On One Wheel.

The official hotel for the 1997 National Unicycle Convention is
the Ramada Minneapolis/St Paul, located in Roseville, MN. This
hotel is 2.5 miles from Hamline University, the site of the 1997 NUC.

From their adverti***t: "Outstanding location close to downtown
St Paul and downtown Minneapolis. Near Rosedale Shopping Center,
HHH Metrodome, Minnesota State Fairgrounds and John Rose Ice Oval.
Hotel features more than 3500 sq ft. of meeting space, pool,
restaurant, and free parking."

They have, in addition to the pool, a sauna and whirlpool -- perfect
for relaxing those muscles sore from unicycling all day. The Ramada
also offers a free shuttle to/from Hamline University for participants
of the 1997 NUC. (No guarantees from the 1997 NUC staff as to how
reliable this service will be.) There is an abundance of fast food,
semi-fast food, and shopping near this hotel.

Their banquet room will be the site of the Awards Ceremony and
Final Party for the 1997 NUC. There will be food and non-***ic
beverages available, and a cash bar.

Rooms available in Single Queen or Double Queen for a group rate
of $64/night for up to four people. A limited number of rollaways
are available for an extra $10/night.  When booking your room, please
ask for the group rate reserved for participants at the 1997 NUC.
