Hi all,

If anyones interested, there's a feature on me in the current issue of Sports Illustrated
Adventure.  Unlike the regular SI, unfortunately this isn't on newstands, but appparently over a
million people subscribe to it.  The text part of the article is also at the SI website, at
<http://sportsillustrated.cnn.com/features/siadventure/10/unicycle/>.

Cheers,

Kris.

It was on a gravel cliff with a soft sandy gravelly landing, about 35 degrees.  The start was
about a 45 degree incline to about a 12 foot gravel cliff.  I got on the uni and rode off the
cliff.  We measured it with a tape measure and it came out at about 18 feet from takeoff to
landing but it didn't feel that big- I think about 15 vertical.  I tried it about 4 times and rode
out of it once. The falls were fine- nice and soft into the sand.  This was caught on 16mm film
and also with still photos but I never saw any of the photos.

-Kris,

-The tire is a Dyno Fireball 24x3" tire.  The uni in the picture is my 24" trials uni, and this
tire is a good choice for doing urban riding and trials on a 24" uni.  Unfortunately they are no
longer available, though.

Hi Kris,

When are you going to Nepal and will you be filming?

I'm going to be in Kathmandu during May/June/July'ish and for some
Muni touring.

If the Dyno Fireball tire is no longer available, what is a close
second? My frame takes a 24" 2.6 Gazz. Don Tai, where are you?

Thanks,

Keep it up.

Don Tai is in Toronto, Canada.
His e-mail suggests he is in the U.K., but he's not.
He is also the webmaster for the Toronto Unicyclists.
Check out the site at:   http://torontounicyclists.tripod.com

Hope that helps,
Darren

Kris,

Any word on when Monster.com will air the ad you filmed last year. Will it be a Super Bowl ad? I'm
watching the Sugar Bowl right now which is partially sponsored by Monster.com and I remembered the ad
that you made.

All the best,

John Hooten

The Monster.com add with Kris is airing now.  A coworker just told me he saw
the add last night.  He thinks it was on either ABC or NBC.  He was flipping
channels so is not sure what network it was on.

Too bad adcritic.com just folded recently.  If they could have hung on for
just another month or so, the monster.com ad would have shown up there.
Then it could have been downloaded as a Quick Time video and so everyone
could get a chance to see it (even those outside of the US).
