Thanks to UnicycleSource getting them overnighted from Roach, I received
3 of these bags a few hours before leaving for the airport. I got two 24s
a 26. A large Telford w/24x3.0 tire or two Miyatas (20 & 24) fit in a 24"
Coming back, Beau's new 4' 20" giraffe fit in the 26" bag with a 24" regular
The carrying strap is nice, and the pedal pocket is great. They're a little
maybe, but really nice.
You can just take off the pedals and drop the uni in the bag. But I did a
bit of padding in addition: wrapped an old sock around the cranks, put a
on the seat handle, and wrapped my Roach leg armor around the stays of the
Telford (my best idea yet). It may not be nuclear bombproof, but it's
enough for normal air travel. We had no trouble at all on the flight to and
Checking in at San Francisco was simple although I had to sign a waiver for
damages. Checking in at Beijing, there was no waiver, but I had to put the
3 bags through the oversized luggage check-in. They are big enough that
don't come through with the regular luggage, but arrived separately, at the
time, so it was no problem.
