Your best bet is to take it to a good bike shop and get them to either weld on
an extra bit of 22.2 mm pipe. A prettier solution is to drill out the short
post and replace it with a longer one. I have seats with both these solutions
and they work well.
Osell's bike shop in Minnesota will do it for you but you should be able to
find someone local that can get it done.
I haven't had good experiences with seat extension units. Lengthening the
seat post is a far better option.
