Bumpers falling off new Viscount seat

Hey, y'all,

Just bought a unicycle from unicycle.com and have been practicing for a
couple of weeks. I'm getting the feel of riding, but I'm having trouble with
the plastic bumpers on the seat. As the seat hits the ground, the screws
holding the plastic to the seat are coming loose and falling out.

The folks I ordered from suggest using a wider screw, but has anyone else
run into this problem or have any suggestions?

Also, is there anyone out there in Houston, preferably inside the 610 Loop,
who would be willing to coach me? I found one Houston club on line, but it
is way the heck south of town.

Thanks,

John Edens

John,

Nix the sheet metal screws!  I tapped the holes with a 10-32 tap and
inserted a pan head machine***with lock washer.  Worked very well!
Some have used a smaller machine***and nut but I prefer not having
to deal with trying to hold the nut under the metal tab in that small
space.
